thanks for the new vid. Had a couple questions: I was thinking of styling my site as a product review site. Is it a good idea to have one main site everything goes through? One site with multiple products? Seems like it would be a pain to make a new site everytime you wanted to try a new CB product. Or is it better to make individual sites for each thing you try? Also, do you know any good affiliate sites that are really good examples? You can PM me if you don't want to post them.
One product, One site. That way you can set up variations of your site and test which gets the greatest response. Another reason, it keeps it clean, uncluttered. Confused customers are less likely to buy. What you could do is set up a blog where you do product reviews and drive traffic to your product sites that way.
Can you track how many clicks on ClickBank hoplinks? Looks like you can only track sales, charge backs, returns, etc. but not actual clicks. forex-forex
Yes you just setup google analytic's on the page that you forward them from. You can also get an idea of how much traffic your getting of course with Yahoo, Google or MSN if you are buying traffic from them.
Grab Them By The Eyeballs Getting good clickthrough rates on your PPC and CPM ad's is always a priority because it makes your costs go lower. You also want to get as many of your email's open as possible. It's fairly obvious that if you can go from only 10% of your emails being open to 15% of them being open you have almost instantly raised your number of prospects by 50%. Now, doing this is a hell of a lot easier said then done. People are jaded and the last thing they want is to buy your shit. You can get them to www.buymyshit.com but it aint the field of dreams, and they ain't coming just coz you built it. How do you grab their eyeballs. I'll give you just two things to start with. First of all, say something that plays to a dominate feeling or emotion they already have and really peaks their interest up. You know the saying "Curiousity killed the cat". Do you remember my thread about a month ago in the trading forum " Revealed! The PERSONAL FINANCES of a Real Trading Guru". Well, it was the third most visted thread on the entire elitetrader site that week by my calculations. Each person who saw it knew that it really would have nothing to do with trading, they were not likely to learn a damn thing from it (although they did, and that's an important thing when you use this "trick", you have to apologize by offering value) and it was most certainly not going to make them money. They went ahead and read it and responded in droves though. I wanted people to read it because I think it's the most important message I've ever given on ET, because being under insured nearly destroyed me financially and almost cost me my life. Big lesson there. But it got the eyeballs like crazy because everyone hates the guru's and they thought they would find some som bitch guru who owed back taxes and had the people from citi card calling him up 3 times a day meanwhile he was trying to sell "how to make batrillions in the market" e-books. You can also be cutesy, friendly for funny. This especially works in an email. You can't use it all the time, or even often. But, if you have a message you really want to have people open and read a good title in the message will work wonders for you. Something like Prudent Shotgun Handling by Dick Cheney with a little behind it. Now, it might depend upon the particular persuasions of your crowd, but for the majority of people that will look like something that just came from a friend..esp if you put a fwd.. in front of it. You have to make up for your shitty little trick right away though. You've got to have a headline that grabs them by the balls, and then you've got a have a pretty compelling offer or bit of news that you are giving them. Better if the offer is not made directly, better if it would be something like my article on the need to keep a trading diary, followed by a link to get a free report on keeping a trading diary, followed by the offer to buy a piece of software that will make keeping that diary easier. You get the point (and your also free to steal the traders diary idea if your a bit of a coding geek...I'm pretty sure you could make 10-20K per year with it..but even more valuable youd build a list of real traders who are willing to pull the credit card out to buy stuff. Pretty stupid of me not to use my own idea in this case...but I'll give it to you. If someone does it please let me know how it works out for you.
btw, the "friend trick" once got me an open rate of over 70% on a list of 20,000. In most cases your pretty happy to have 10%. I did have a lot of comlaints and removes, but for the most part I have long ago decided that complainers and removes are not going to buy anything from me ever anyway so they are pretty much wasting the space on my list. That particular offer ended up selling about 4 times more then I thought it would based upon prior, similar offers...all because I got more people to open the email.
Have you ever noticed that the overwhelming majority of people LOVE and support cops? Even when a cop gets caught red handed shooting a restrained suspect, the incident is viewed with disbelief. Excesses are made about âone bad appleâ and such. My friend the cop, told me that people love them because they are the last word in the world of authority.
Here is what I notice about cops. Whenever I'm driing 75 and someone passes me like I'm standing still, or I'm out driving and someone ahead of me is obviously drunk there are no cops to be found. Let me be in a hurry though and there is a convention of them.
