  1. I am starting this thread with the intentions to share and learn from others to craft options trading strategies for speculative moves. For instance earnings, FDA approvals, etc. Also to discuss how to craft strategies that can benefit from pre-earning, or pre-announcement IV skews.

    I have posted few examples on my blog at www.OptionPundit.net

    I used primarily backspread where I chose a ratio to define a range that has a good risk/reward (r/R) ratio.

  2. I have initiated a thread at, www.OptionPundit.net, to discuss google for earnings. Goog is going to announce earnings on Jan 31, now what to play and what kinda strategy? Floor open for discussion :)

    Dan Sheridan talked abt GOOG earnings play yesterday in his webcast on CBOE.
