When I think of instant gratification, I think of the pursuit of vain pleasures and rewards without effort. That's why I differed with you on that. Good sound business is very gratifying-- not at all vain or effortless. Yes, it can happen in an instant, so, yes, it can be said to be 'instant gratification,' though not in the way the term connotes.
