How about a section on the home page for rating NYSE specialists? Like your brokerage, book and software ratings.
The way things are looking in the newspapers these days regarding the NYSE specialist system, it appears as if the days of the specialist may be coming to an end anyway.
Every other electronically traded world market does fine without it. Why should the NYSE be any different.
In theory, the specialist system should buffer or minimize volitility. How is this benifical to Day Traders?
The Bright Bros. probably have pictures of SEC Donaldson in some Las Vegas area cat house. They will single handedly preserve the specialist system.
