specialist goin to the can

  1. i just got it last week, but don't use it yet. it'll be much faster to enter orders than redi once i get the hang of it. i won't switch until they have open book, which is supposed to be at the end of the month.

it doesn't have some features that i like on redi, like cancel and replace orders, and the ability to cover positions through the position screen (i'll have to double check this), but does have some others, like intergrated bullets, ability to enter orders on charts (which are great by the way), and of course, lower commissions.

in terms of quote speed, it's the same as redi+, on a side by side comparison. however, i've been seeing a lot of 'arca orders not available' etc, etc.

No other news sources are reporting this. It's probably a joke to get daytraders' lousy hopes up.

  5. The guy who "reported" it must have seen Wall Street one too many times. I don't believe they would "take him off the floor in handcuffs"!

  8. I'm not sure about JPM, since I didn't trade the stock much, but GE and JNJ certainly deserve it.
