any thoughts on bear wagner? I understand fleet is scummy... Does anyone know a way to find out if a specialist change has been made?

any other opinions on various specialist firms? what about positions at these firms that aren't on the floor (as a specialist?) ... maybe working in "upstairs" trading, or in research or something like that? any comments?
Does it strike anyone as wrong that the NYSE wants to charge even for a listing of who the specs are? After all, these people (the specs) are the contra-party to a lot of our trades. Is it too much to be given a list of who they are?
