Oh my wishing him well was never in doubt. But when a lefty tard such as you tells me he wishes him well, then that ain't nobody blieven' that. The "OR NOT" goes with you.
Well then that speaks more to your character than mine. A thief thinking people are stealing from him and so on.
I see. You and your lefty buddies here and elsewhere have long history of pointing out the worst in republicans so I allegedly failed to recognize that you are Mahatma Ghandi apparently and are somehow wishing him the best. Bullfeathers. You ilk are looking for nothing but the worst for republicans. Try again.
The problems will continue as always regardless of who is the speaker of the House and regardless if it's a Democrat or Republican sitting in the Oval Office. Too many bigger fires to extinguish while a minority (the idiots) are asking for hand-outs to extinguish small fires instead of doing what it takes to not start those little fires in the first place. With all the in-fighting in the GOP and with the way, a rule allows a minority of them (I believe it only takes just one of them) to derail the GOP...the same for the Democrats... The system is broken. In my opinion, it's why politics is so polarized and so many people have become so dependent upon the Federal government to solve their problems instead of looking at their state. Yet, if they're dissatisfied with the state...get off their lazy asses and relocate (move) to a state that better deals with their problems instead of asking for hand-outs from the Federal government. If the states suck and the federal government sucks...relocate to another country. That's what I did although I maintain a 2nd home in the U.S. until my mom dies one day (last parent). Anyway, I will be shocked if this new Speaker lasts until the end of the year. Thus, I expect him to resign because he will realize he can not be effective as the Speaker of the House with the minority (just one person) can have a temper tantrum when they don't get their way as in refusing to work with everyone else... It could result in shutting down the government and/or putting America at risk of getting suckered into the global crisis going on currently in different countries...putting our soldiers at unnecessary risk all because of unhinged politics in America. It's sad to see these people hijack (take hostage) their political party instead of growing a pair to become an Independent. Mike Johnson will be our new litmus test of how deep the bullshit goes in American politics. Adam Kinzinger said it best...if Johnson doesn't work out...the GOP will have to think outside the box to work with the Democrats. We all know what the above means...admit to the BIG LIE and oust their far right idiots. Do not hold your breadth for that to happen. wrbtrader
Interesting that you ask these questions while The Republican Party is regrouping and getting stronger and The Democrat Party is dissolving in front of our eyes.
I'm glad the white house is "wishing" this putsch attempter well too: “MAGA Mike Johnson’s ascension to the speakership cements the extreme MAGA takeover of the House Republican Conference. Now, Donald Trump has his loyal foot soldier to ban abortion nationwide, lead efforts to deny free and fair election results, gut Social Security and Medicare, and advance the extreme MAGA agenda at the expense of middle-class families,” Biden-Harris 2024 spokesperson Ammar Moussa said.
Only time will tell if having someone like Johnson as speaker with the looming Trump convictions...if the Democrats can capitalize on it. In my opinion, a more middle-ground Republican would have been more dangerous to the Democrats because it would have put the Democrats in the spotlight far beyond what is on them right now. In the meantime...Liz Cheney is turning up the heat against Trump in her first of new television ads to undermine Trump. Can she accomplish what she did in Arizona in helping to defeat Kari Lake ??? Liz...save your money...let the convictions get him. On another front...looks like Mark Meadows will get an immunity deal to testify against Trump. The walls is closing in on Trump as his former allies are now willing to testify against him. wrbtrader
Yeah, we have no idea how this experiment will work out. The republicans seem to think people believe their dysfunction is a form of democracy but it’s not. The democrats, for all of their problems, still have large goals which unites them, the republicans not so much. Indeed, the only standing criteria for becoming speaker of the house for them this go around was being on record as an election denier. Mike Dick got in now he has a pretty complicated puzzle to figure out and he has NO POLICY STAFF of his own to get down to the granular level on the legislative stuff. Im very much interested in how he will navigate the fractions in the Republican caucus. The freedom caucus has no real capital outside of they will burn the country down. The moderates are where the real power is in this caucus. In my mind Dick has one of two options first is to see if he can civilize the freedom caucus to move legislation that will actually become law and the second is to bring in some democrats on legislation and protect him from getting vacated a la McCarthy. I wouldn’t say the knives are out for Dick on day one like with McCarthy but he is surrounded by a bunch of people ready to stab him down. He needs to be smart here more than tough.
