What's the threshold needed? I think enough cons have detached their lips from Donnie's butthole to vote for a corp. dem. Though a never trumper is an easier ask.
The other bridge that must be crossed over is the issue of whether there will be a rule change in regard to the motion to vacate the speaker. Some might vote for a nominee knowing that they hold the power to stir the pot again at any time just for sport. But if they tighten that rule up so that it requires more members to move a motion forward then there will be/could be plenty of piss-pottery around that. There are people in that mix that I have sort of lost sight of what makes them tick, and I think they have too. Gaetz etc, I understand because he has not changed any positions. But Nancy Mace, for example, who used to try to be a conservative now touts herself as a purple district rep who wants to be bipartisan- and in fact supports some more moderate things these days. At the same time she is dicking around on the speaker thing being a chief consensus killer. I don't know what the fuck she thinks her goal is or what she is trying to achieve. There are some who follow it more and can probably pipe up with an answer. I am not sure though that her constituents can follow her positions without a mobile app with a bouncing ball that they can follow.

The motion to vacate is definitely where the biggest wedge lies with freedom caucus types. They like having the ability to oust the speaker at anytime. Of course with democrat votes changing that rule isn’t an issue.
