I think its time for some champagne now though as the dollar has rocketed against the yen due to bernanke saying hes not going to print out more dollars to devalue the currency...

  8. Cheers mate, hows t2w going??

Everytime i look at that site it seems to be getting crapper and crapper,
with threads whos last post was in 2009 being on the front page! :p

Doesn't anyone still use that site daily anymore??

  9. Back to my portfolio...

I nabbed £59 profit from 2nd coffee sell last week,
and again have resold for a 3rd time.

My sell price was 285.26, and ive got a target order set at 282 i think,
although have to double check its exact level when i log into my trading account next.

And my Japanese yen long trade is still open at around break-even,
although the market is still just floating along sideways in a ridiculously tight 20pips range like its been for the last 4weeks now!

Although only a total utter fool would short-sell this market now, as that would basically be choosing to try taking on the Japanese government! :D :p
And so im not particularly bothered about having to wait a few days t weeks longer until the BoJ finally intervene again.

  10. Ok im having quite a big problem now,
as the coffee market opened at 8:30am but instantly gapped down,
yet my limit order filled me at a price way higher!!!

(On the tick-by-tick chart it shows a 1second delay,
however on their trading platform it shows the high of the day was 282.20,
but since the previous close was above 285 this means that the opening market price must have been under 282)

On the tick-by-tick chart it shows the opening price being 280.50,
and so with a spread of .70 the 1st buy price of the day including spread should have been 281.20.

However my limit order cashed my trade in at 282.96 (including spread),
even though in the entire trading day so far this price has not been hit.

And also my trade wasn't cashed in instantly, but instead was cashed in at 8:31am!

Ive phoned ETX up, and am now having to wait for them to call me back 'later this morning' once they have looked into this....!!!

Its pissing me off alot though as i should have made atleast £120 profit,
not just the £80 profit that i got.

Especially since if it was the other way around and that had been a stoploss not a limit order, but the market had gapped down, they would have filled the stoploss the worse and actual market price.
