For equity futures actually. My broker, Velocity Futures provides me the margin requirements for specific queries: "If I sell x of this and buy y of that, what is my margin?" Is there someplace in the web where I can figure this out for myself? CME only.
Nice. I have to pay cme to figure out my margin? What a deal! Yes, I do a have an IB account as well, but I am queasy with IB - god only knows what they do to figure out margin. I suppose I can put on paper trades in TWS and check margin before I do them in VF, but was looking for a cleaner option. I mean, how hard can it be? A simple webpage where I construct the portfolio and it tells me the current margin? Easy, right? Not!
