Yeah, I was hoping all countries would open up shortly to give Spain a good example but UK doesn t seem to be going in the right direction. Unfortunate. The country seems to still be in close to full panic.
Madrid president wants to reopen the whole region asap but they had to force the provincial health chief into resignation to be able to even apply to enter the next phase, it didn t look good and the central government refused. Barcelona in a worse situation with a provincial gov not in a hurry to open up and more cases.
Yes, from the numbers I saw hospitals at significantly more than 20% capacity

Kinda hoping the same to, sadly might have a Right Wing government, but there still pampering for Leftie PC Snowflakes, and there FEAR level is ridiculous, they all think IF you catch it your a goner like 20year old, like that Here 4 the money fool.

We hit 25% capacity at the max and down to 12% currently, deaths are mostly care homes, but none where being admitted to hospitals, tell me again this is to save old people, letter them die with zero chance and the Snowflakes haven't bothered cause they only care about themselves.

Cased on WoldOmeter being lied about aswell to keep the panic, well different to the other info which matches my intel from local hospitals.

Settling in for 3 more weeks of boredom, then slight easing at best.

Worlds screwed, might aswell finish it off :( 4month supply of food around my belly.

Madrid was denied again move to phase 1, so still no visit allowed, no terraces open, no leisurly travel allowed even to the next town. Madrid provincial government, right wing when the central gov is leftist, going fubar, they swear they filled all prerequisites to enter phase 1 and gov didn t advance any technical reason to deny their request. Just denied it. They claim it s a political decisio . Locking partially 6.7 million people and pushing many into bankrupcy and further mental, educational and health issues . An ugly mess it is... still many people supporting the lockdiwn, saying we should lock the kids back in- who are only allowed outside from 12pm to 7pm, basically not possible for us most weekdays at those times, many people have the same problem.
It was today announced 550 000surgeries have been undefinetely postponed in Spain during the coronasaga, after they decided to cancel all non essential medical appointments and procedures, when the public health care is already experimenting long waiting list in normal times. How many people are gonna die from poor healthcare while so many/all hospitals are now operating below capacity ?
But people are still dying from teh coronavirus ya know...

That s funny, especially the protester shouting in a megaphone while being chauffeured in a convertible Mercedes, and this happens not only in Salamanca, the poshest district in Madrid city. This evening Plaza de la Moraleja, in the neighbourhood where I live, was blocked by protesters, that s possibly the wealthiest district in whole of Spain.
Good news is the protests have now spread all over Madrid, also in the working class districts. Weird to see the province and the city wanting to open up and the central government denying it repeatedly while most of the country has now started its deescalation program.

I went again to one of the few private hospitals taking appointments this evening do an x ray for daughter, and again it was almost empty. 550000 surgeries have been cancelled in Spain during the crisis while priority has been given to coronavirus and non essential hospital appointments and surgeries have been cancelled, while many hospitals were working well below capacity and many medical centers compketely closed. In a country with already huge waiting lists in the public health care system. Yesterday spanish oncologists warned 1 third of survivals would be jeopardised in some cancers if the government didn t reprioritize health care asap.

Christians are exhulting in Spain, we got resurections in the 1000s thanks to the coronavirus. Over 3900 deaths removed from official count since yesterday.
Madrid going on with relaxing, kids starting to invite their friends over, it s a nice change. Borders now supposed to reopen without quarantine at least with EU countries from July 1st, much better than the end of October announced a few weeks ago. Lots of people at the moment, including us, not respecting social distancing rules, large groups hanging out together without masks in the small park nesr our home, which started even before meetings where allowed, lots of folks fed up with all this mess. Let s see whether it gets all locked back up or keeps on opening

Well, a few months later and Spain and Madrid are still an absolute shitshow. Life in Madrid is already seriously hampered by a whole bunch of restrictions and quarantines (by district and families) but central government is pushing Madrid government to "rally behind science" and close all of Madrid. Science they take out of their ass, already during the state of emergency Madrid reopening was slowed down by Central government, claiming the decision came from a " committee of experts", but it was later revealed this committee of experts was the Minister of Health alone and the decision to not allow Madrid to follow other parts of Spain in its reopening was political. Now central government is threatening Madrid with taking over, reinstating the state of emergency in the province and locking down the city. To protect the health of Madrid citizens...
Fuck that, I ve been there the whole of this crisis, know a whole bunch of people who had covid, a bunch of families who are or have been in quarantine even after the reopening, but the main cause of suffering keep on being the anti covid measures who hit most people hard. In contrary covid come and go in a couple of weeks in the huge majority of cases ( a couple of days only if at all feeling bad is standard for middle aged folks) not fun but hardly worth even blocking a single street for it.

Horrible way of life, when one is always wondering whether they will be able to go to work, school, do sports, see their family or even step outside out of their house the next day. Which often they can't.

Much better reason to go into civil war than the political issues in 1936 imo.

All these shitheads now relying on Brussels to cut their whimpy ass a cheque so they can keep on living in hiding, but obviously not all are seeing that money.
