Is the SOX constantly reweighed to give more weight to the biggest winners in the sector? SMH biggest component is INTC, the weightings are it seems determined according to the importance of each company represented in the index. This is not the case with the Philadelphia SOX, the biggest components are MRVL and BRCM, 2 recent big winners according for 11 and 10% of the index respectively. Where is the justification for this, other than pure marketing ? This very much distorts the picture IMO
