Some people wonder why healthcare workers should be vaccinated ???

Leaked memo reveals ER nurse worked while symptomatic for COVID-19; several protocols broken at Quebec hospital

MONTREAL -- Lakeshore Hospital on Montreal's West Island is dealing with the fallout after an unvaccinated nurse worked while positive with COVID-19. Protocols were also broken, leading to "multiple exposures" over several days, according to a memo obtained by CTV News.

The memo from the Montreal West Island Health and Social Services Centre (CIUSSS-OIM) reports unvaccinated COVID-19 positive patients spent several hours in the ER waiting room and on stretchers from Aug. 20 to 26.

The memo also states an unvaccinated staff member worked “while contagious and symptomatic.”

CIUSSS public relations spokesperson Hélène Bergeron-Gamache said the nurse was undergoing COVID-19 screening three times a week, and has been removed from the unit.

"A user she has been in contact with has developed symptoms," she added. "At this time, he tested negative as did all staff and patients with whom the nurse had contact."

Several protocol breaches were noted, according to the memo, “leading to multiple exposures of varying durations in several areas of the ER.”

"Screening of [COVID-19-positive patients] indicated a delta variant," it read. "Users exposed to the emergency department and admitted to the care units were screened this morning."

One deficiency Bergeron-Gamache noted was with regards to wearing PPE.

"Reminders to this effect were sent to all staff and COVID agents were deployed to the hospital to ensure compliance with the wearing of PPE and good infection prevention and control practices," she said. "The Public Health Unit is also on site to provide support and recommendations."

The CIUSSS-OIM said it has issued a high alert level for the hospital's ER.

"This alert level allows us to increase infection prevention and control measures and limit the risk of spreading COVID-19 among patients and staff," said Bergeron-Gamache.

Health Minister Christian Dube was asked about Lakeshore Tuesday at a news conference.

"It's always difficult to talk about the specific cases," said Dube. "I know them very well and been there a few times. Nobody did this on purpose, but we know that there was a case where an employee was not vaccinated. We don't know what is the chain of events yet."

Dube said it is not yet known whether the staff member was contaminated by a patient or vice versa.

He said the situation shows the need for mandatory vaccinations for health-care workers.

"Not only for the patient but for themselves," said Dube. "This is, unfortunately, a case that serves as an example that our employees should be vaccinated."

Bergeron-Gamache said the vaccination rate for the CIUSSS-OIM is 89 per cent for a first dose and that 84 per cent of its staff are double-vaxxed.

If you want to go private eye, go to reddit and read their post history to see if they are really nurses. (hint: they are) Unless the democrat troll nurse factory (as opposed to the Russian troll influencers) is posting these, I believe them.

That IS what happening in the hospitals not the BS what Republican leadership wants you to believe.

Without my stories this thread is worthless anyway... :)

After her family worried she would not make it out of hospital, a 21-year-old woman in Quebec who contracted COVID-19 has emerged from a medically-induced coma.
    • Mélodie Trépanier Léger, who hails from Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, Que., was not vaccinated against the novel coronavirus when she began experiencing symptoms last month, her parents told Global News.
The young adult had to be placed in a medically-induced coma at the McGill University Health Centre’s Royal Victoria Health Centre in Montreal as her condition quickly deteriorated.

Sharing photos from the hospital, Trépanier Léger took to Facebook this week to report that she is on the mend.
    • “I was there, I experienced hell. My heart gave out three times. It started beating on its own all three times,” she posted Wednesday. “I don’t remember everything, but I still remember the atrocious things I saw when I was on my deathbed.”
Trépanier Léger goes on to say she was scared but that she fought hard, her vital signs are improving and she is healing “extremely quickly.”

“I have mostly encouraged a big gang to get vaccinated,” she said. “I am proud of each and every one of you.”

When reached by Global News, Trépanier Léger said she wasn’t in a position to provide interviews as her recovery is ongoing.

The young woman’s parents have been outspoken about her hospital stay, in hopes of inspiring others to get vaccinated.
    • Jimmy Trépanier said his daughter didn’t believe in COVID-19 and had refused to be immunized.
Sophie Léger, her mother, has been sharing updates in French on social media and penned #vaccinpourmelo to raise awareness in recent weeks. She shared her daughter’s photos on Wednesday, describing her recovery as a “beautiful miracle” thanking all those who supported the family.

“Thank you to all and continue our fight together for Mélo, life and humanity,” Léger said. “Yes to the vaccine to protect our loved ones.”

"It's been 9 months since I got infected. Distorted smell/taste, brain fog, fatigue, and occasional shortness of breath still very much present. This was from a MILD case that did not require hospitalization. Not to mention the crippling anxiety/depression that often comes with long covid. I can't imagine how many millions of people out there are struggling with something similar. It should be noted that I'm 29 and generally healthy."

"My friend had a moderate case last December. Bad enough that she went to the hospital for antibody treatment. Recovered in about a week and a half. In March, she went to bed and never woke up. She was 36. Are the two related? We will never know for sure, but 36 year olds shouldn’t just go to bed and die."

"I had a mild case, still have mild breathing issues three months out if I exert myself too much. I’m 34."

There is a research study circulating on twitter about Scotland mortality.
They have analyzed mortality over 40 years vs avg from last 5 years. This shows if a particular year had more/less deaths vs previous 5 years. Results? All years except 2021 had +/- 4% difference in mortality. Figure for 2020 was just ..... +1.5% over 2015-2019 . Cool, isnt it? For a super deadly pandemic, yeah.... Figure for 2021 so far? Spike of +14% in deaths!
It looks like such change is still too low to catch masses anger..... Unreal. How many deaths until the crazy dumb humanity wakes the F.... up?

New mega scientific rules in Ireland! People - please obey like nice little slaves, its for your goooood.

The London Evening Standard reports; “People going to nightclubs will have to wear face masks except when eating, drinking and dancing, Taoiseach Micheal Martin said.”

Apparently, COVID only chooses to infect people when they are entering the premises, going to the toilet, or chatting with their friends.

When it sees scores of sweaty people in super close proximity dancing together, it steers well clear.
