I agree with everything you said but the bolded. Not trying to inject my personal belief one way or the other but hinting that abortion would be justified on the premise of free will in that book is disingenuous.
I did not suggest that the Bible justifies abortion. The bible does not justify stealing. Yet many people steal. Notwithstanding the difference in opinion whether abortion constitutes ending a life or not (=definition of a human being) my emphasis here is that according to biblical principles God gave humans a free will. They can choose to obey or disobey God's will. And God let's them choose (but also let's them bear the consequences of their choices) . Why many conservatives brush this important notion of God aside and try to force their own opinions and principles on others people is beyond my understanding. God very clearly speaks against divorce. Do conservative Christians adhere to those principles in their own lives? I suggest they don't because divorce statistics among conservative Christians do not look any more promising than the ones among atheists or agnostics. What concerns me here is the blatant hypocrisy and selective application of biblical principle for convenience purposes.

You mean a constitution that was written by and applied by multiple US presidents who held slaves? What's the worth of a constitution that was written by someone who did not grant to others in his life the very same principles of freedom and the right for the pursuit of happiness that he formulated in the constitution? At least absent from the US Federal government. I can name you a dozen nations where the federal government truly serves its people. Nothing is perfect but there are tons of nations that apply a better understanding of the principle of democracy than the US ever has or will. I can't think of another nation that has so consistently failed at adhering to its own constitution. There are many countries such as Germany that have temporarily fallen into the abyss but they often have gotten back on track in serving its people. The US Constitution is admirable but it's worthless when people don't adhere to it. When a kid of a rich US family has to put in 10% of the effort of a kid from an underprivileged family and still is guaranteed all the opportunities in life then certainly one cannot speak of a nation of equal opportunities and the chances to pursue happiness.
Soros said that Trump might win the popular vote but Hillary would win the Electoral College. He also said that revolution happens only after a country tries to go back to it's roots. So far we're kind of trying to get the U.S. back to it's roots and the #resistance is making such asses of themselves that we probably will never need to actually shoot any of them, they will more likely do it themselves. So much for Soros. I don't find it difficult to believe that he has been destabilizing countries all over the world and letting the blame fall on the U.S. I don't find it hard to believe that he would be using Muslims to suppress Christians, I don't find it hard to believe that he was the earliest and biggest backer of Obama either.
