Soros just fits the bill (jew + wall st + globalist conspiracy and so on , that gets them going). I'm more surprised the americans are responsive to this, since afaik he is mostly active in the CEE region. It might be a side-effect of the Kremlin propaganda&spin on the eastern euro information battlefield, this may just spills a bit over the pond into Breitbart and such. But if i were an american alt-righter i could think of a dozen or so people i would rather hate than Soros.
In a nutshell the alt-right (god i hate buzzwords) 'news' have been pushing the narrative of a failing Europe being overtaken by Islamist "rapefugees" while their hosts capitulate with a smile thanks to leftist ideologies (they're particularly fond of Germany and Sweden). This as a selling point and justification to use the same nonsense on Mexicans. Oh, and Soros is behind it all and is hated because he's destroying western civilization (read whites). Oh, and because "Jews" and the Illuminati.
George is actually putting some real money behind the GBP! From what I hear from macro desks, he is accompanied by at least a dozen other hedge funds buying GBP Futures and call options en masse.... Something is brewing in GBP. I guess it has to do with his latest essay about BREXIT: Brexit in Reverse Project Syndicate, June 19, 2017 By: George Soros Economic reality is beginning to catch up with the false hopes of the general population. They believed the promises of the popular press that Brexit would not reduce their living standards, so they managed to maintain those standards by running up their household debts. This worked for a while because household consumption stimulated the economy. But the moment of truth is fast approaching. As the latest figures published by the Bank of England show, wage growth is not keeping up with inflation, so that real incomes have begun to fall. Once the experience of June is repeated in subsequent months, households will realize that their living standards are falling and they will have to adjust their spending habits. To make matters worse, they will also realize that they have become over-indebted and they will have to pay back their debts. This will reduce the household consumption that has sustained the economy even further. Moreover, the Bank of England has made the same mistake as the average household: it underestimated the impact of inflation and is now catching up by raising interest rates in a pro-cyclical manner. We are fast approaching the tipping point that characterizes all unsustainable economic developments. In my theoretical writings, I refer to the tipping point as “reflexivity." Economic reality is reinforced by political reality. The fact is that Brexit is a lose-lose proposition, harmful both to Britain and the European Union. It cannot be undone, but people can change their minds. Apparently, this is happening. Theresa May’s attempt to strengthen her negotiating position by holding a snap election has badly misfired: she lost her parliamentary majority. The primary cause of her defeat was her fatal misstep with the dementia tax that offended her core constituency, the elderly. But the increased participation of young people was also an important contributing factor. They voted for labor in protest, not because they wanted to join a trade union or support Jeremy Corbyn (although he gave an impressive performance). Their attitude to the single market is diametrically opposed to that of Theresa May. Young people are eager to find well-paying jobs, whether in Britain or elsewhere. In that respect, their interests correspond with the interests of the City of London, where some of those jobs are to be found. If Theresa May wants to stay in power, she has to change her approach. There are signs she is prepared to do so. By approaching the negotiations starting on Monday in a conciliatory spirit, she could reach an agreement with the European Union on their agenda and agree to continue as a member of the single market for a long enough period to carry out all the legal work. This would be a great relief to the European Union because it would postpone the evil day when Britain’s absence would create an enormous hole in the EU’s budget. That would be a win-win arrangement. Only by taking this path can she hope to persuade parliament to pass all the laws that need to be enacted. She may have to abandon her ill-considered alliance with the Ulster Unionists and side with the Tories of Scotland. She would also have to atone for the sins of the Tories in Kensington with regard to Grenfell Towers. She could then carry on leading a minority government, because nobody else would want to take her place. There are signs she is prepared to do so. The divorce process would take at least five years to complete and during that time new elections would take place. If all went well, the two parties may want to remarry even before they have divorced. GL+GT Nighthawk
The lefts shallow non thinking automatic response to just a trigger word is nauseatingly predictable. The lack of spirituality in their elite assessment of man is so far removed from the mans reality that they are reduced to insulting the man as a means of dealing with rejection. LYAO
yeah if you dwell on it and stop right there and go to your pc handbook instead of learning how to speak American. That's the problem with foreigners on our internet, they think they are speaking our language and don't even know what we are talking about.
I am as spiritual a man as it gets and I find most Christian conservatives in the US repulsively uneducated and brainwashed. Unfortunately not by biblical principles but by misleading ideology. People who want to dictate and force women what to do with their unborn child (in total contradiction with biblical principles of a free human will), they hate the entire LGBT movement and everyone gay (I am a straight arrow but find no call for hate in the new testament), they love and embrace capitalism and money (when Jesus actually clearly warns against an obsession and love for money)... they utterly hate social welfare and embrace self determination (ignoring the call to love and support thy neighbor)...and the list goes on. They voted for the biggest liar and truly believe the crap that comes out of his filthy mouth. They worship the same guy who is nibbling away on his third wife, who grossly abused women all his life, cheated every customer and client there is, went bankrupt multiple times, hates people of other race, applies blatant nepotism in office, lies to everyone around him including under oath. They worship guys like Gingrich, Christie, Palin. They think that someone is trustworthy and has one's heart sitting at the right place whenever they see one holding up a bible or proclaiming one goes to church. A completely brainwashed, uneducated, yet hopeful and compassionate bunch of folks. I don't think they have an ill intention, they just do not know better. They were brainwashed all their lives with wrong Christian principles. Those Christian principles they learned are nowhere reflected in the Bible.
I would like to suggest that you have this quite wrong with regard to a sizable fraction of the population. That fraction, I think, like you, understands full well why Trump won the White House. They understand the sympathies and frustrations of his core supporters that will stick with him no matter how absurd his continuous lying and lack of competency; no matter his debilitating personality disorder. And although they understand well why it was possible for a demagogue like Trump to get elected to head a great nation, they are nevertheless appalled . They don't believe electing a demagogue is going to be helpful. They don't believe that a lunatic can solve the problems of a great nation or that the way to fix a hole in the roof is to burn the house down.
