Achilles28 lives in Canada, yet he wants Americans to rebel against the system because the election is "rigged". I don't see him volunteering to join that battle or even to move back to the US to help rebuild the countries economy and pay his fair share of personal taxes. What he does do ( along with a few others on here ) is help personify just what exactly some of the crazier Americans are all about these days, and the danger they represent to a civilized world. If one reads through his posts, it is quite clear that his value system is completely counter to what the overall community in Canada believes in.
Well, since you helped design the value system and rules of the US, you have to live with the consequences whatever they are. The whole world can see the US slowly unraveling since year 2001 and it's up to you to make real lasting changes. Part of that is recognizing that you indeed have problems instead of the usual American idea that you've got it all figured out. Never mind the true position, it's easier to pretend everything's great. The bottom line is Americans with money can build their gated communities, enroll their kids in private schools, and pay the rising health care premiums they bitch about. But you still have to live with what the rest of America is becoming, which means you are surrounded by a lot of unnecessary random violence and unhappy poor people. And that detracts from the experience no matter how much money you make. It's a very real risk you signed up for by agreeing to the American system in place for decades and not putting the brakes to things like widespread gun ownership and paying a fair tax on your earnings. For better or worse, you get the country you deserve and if you don't like it you need to ship out to another country like Achilles28 did. But seriously now, please take him back.
You know what I find the most disingenuous is that the same on the right side of the spectrum who enabled the richest to take advantage of the system and voted for politicians who kept taxes low for the richest via uncountable loopholes, are the same ones who are on the lower rung of society and who are voting for a con man who enriched himself at the expense of everyone else. I don't know how it can get more contradictory. Some in America are so incredibly gullible , they give credit to anyone who drives a sports car, lives in a golden tower , and shows off his bling. There was an interesting story on Bloomberg where journalists found numerous ex convicts, con men, ex dictators, and criminals living in Trump Tower. Money really seems to give legitimacy in some of the stupid peoples' eyes. As long as you got money you are respected. Funny, because in Japan it is exactly the opposite. Those who show off with money and wealth are more shunned and disrespected in society than anyone else. No wonder then that Trump gets away with anything in the eyes of his disciples . After all he got money, the thing his followers all don't have.
Maybe the hayseeds who support Trump appreciate the fact that he isn't owned by the banks and globalists. That he earned his money and didn't make it by selling access to the State Department and Oval Office. That he took on the entire republican establishment and crushed them. Just sayin'.
Maybe the hayseeds should appreciate the fact that Trump can't even keep a political party together, let alone a whole country.
