  1. We need Canadians for that?

  2. What's hilarious is Cutten has never even been in this country. It shows what kind of weird stereotyping about us goes on overseas!

I remember L.A. being so backwards on pot that me and a trader who most of you would know were once tossed out of a Hollywood Blvd. head shop for using a banned term.

My buddy asked the clerk to sell him the nice "ceramic bong."
The clerk then rudely pointed to a sign that read "Under L.A. Code xxxx products may only be referred to by their listed names. As in Water Pipe." Even old school Chicago didn't have laws like that.

OTH I was staying at the Bel-Air one weekend about a year later when while driving a convertible I fired up my one hitter as I waited for the light at the foot of Stone Canyon and Sunset. Sure enough one of L.A's finest comes barreling down the hill just as I'm checking the ember level in my rear view mirror. Totally friggin' busted in the act. I was shaking. The copper picks up his mic and sarcastically says through the loudspeaker "you're in California sir. You may take a RIGHT ON RED!" (probably knew my plates were rental) Now that was a cool cop!

By that logic there is no difference between Ron Paul and Barney Frank. Johnson vs Goldwater just offered more of the same. FDR's 3 re-elections had no impact - plus ca change.

C'mon, do you really believe that? It's just a cheap cynical loser no-brain shot - no thinking required, just tar and feather *everything* that does not 100% suit your personal agenda. The ostrich approach - all politicians are corrupt liars, blah blah blah. Fact - failure to have radical change is not the same as having *no change*.

You're just another guy who can't accept that politics and government reflect the preferences of society. Newsflash - American society, like 99.9% of democratic societies in the history of the world, ends up electing people who conform to their beliefs. How are you going to get a radical government in a democracy? Not going to happen.

Scratch off Canada, "liberal" US cities, and the sphere of US areas where you can legally enjoy life is depressingly small.

There's a reason why Las Vegas is so popular, and it's not because you can do what you want in most of the USA.

  6. Have you?

You know I'm not ribbing you just to be a jerk. I really thought you'd said that once. Sorry in a big way for bad info if that's not the case!

BTW: You do seem to have like a 1930s view of us. There's more murders in Chicago each year than the number of lynchings in recorded history.

  8. Unless you're into doing anal in public, you can get away with it and toking away indoors.

If not, you must be residing in a penitentiary, or you're one of the resident moonbats who believes the domestic arm of Blackwater has hidden cameras in every American home.

I've spent quite a bit of time in the US. I would not comment on a place in that way if I hadn't even visited! I've been to about a dozen US cities over the years, lived in LA for a few months, done a road trip round the south. Not the same as living in a place, but I'd wager I've visited more US states than a fair few Americans.

  10. Cool! Yes you seem to know more than someone who hadn't been here!
