Yes, I have traded the last two days using these indicators, but I am not doing exactly what Quah is - I have a hard time managing that many trades right now (the open). I keep open positions in 14 stocks all the time, so this adds to the confusion. I lost money yesterday, but today was a scratch - would have been profitable, but I made some entry errors. I have been using TWS for about a year and a half, but I just started with futures and "stop" orders. I think I'll get it though. If it starts working I'll post some more. Thanks for your help.
dbphoenix, I'm having these same problems that you seem to have overcome. Using Qcharts, 2 min stochastics at 17,1,17 I don't always get the same short/long signal as Quah. Can you please let me know your setup (software, pertinent Quahsystem settings) so that I can follow along? Thanks. --opm8
Easy. I stopped using QCharts. Or at least I've matched him perfectly the last three days using an IB feed through QuoteTracker, so I'm assuming that QCharts was a large part of the problem. I'm using a 2m fast sto with 17/17. --Db
Hi Dbphoenix and opm8, Thanks for your input on this. Even though no one responded that they are using tradestation, thanks for the info on qcharts. This saves me the trouble on testing this system on those charts. By the way, I do recall Quah saying he used Ensign with esignal....so that is probably what I will use to due any further testing, in order to try to match Quah's entries. Thanks, tah
If you decide to download MedVed QuoteTracker and want to integrate it with IB, be sure to download the Beta version. That part was a little obscure.... even though there is a whole section it.
For ES: +2.00 points 13 trades, 8 winners, 5 losers For NQ: +24.00 points 12 trades, 10 winners, 2 losers I wasn't around to take the last trade of the day. I'm having some connectivity problems today - and am not going to trade - however, I'm going to note the trades and enter them in the workbook aynway. So far, not too good though.
I had connectivity problems as well. Fortunately, as it turned out. Does not look like a good day for SVS, at least so far. --Db
Quah, Since I had connectivity problems, I couldn't use QT but had to revert to QC. From those charts, 0935 looks like a definite long except on a 1m chart using 17-17. Did you go by this, or did your 2m chart also show a short using 17-17? --Db
