Absolutely SICK moves in Yen and Yen crosses right now. This is '08 volatility. Something bad happened. Has to be.
there were tons of stops - massive ones at 79.80 (or thereabouts). there are no bids. this is a bid-less market.
Yen carry trade getting blown out. Japan suspended repair to nuclear reactors due to radiation. Yen was/is massively used for leverage, so this is killing a lot of wall street firms and hedgies.
I hear you. That was a good technical level. But never have I seen the yen move like without an event. I think some real bad shit is about to come out.
Shit lucky is all. And to think, just yesterday I was long but decided to take my losses and reverse the position. I could have easily been on the other side of this and be furious right about now.
