Something changed with the ignore feature.

  1. I suggest you allow people to log in with their Google Account. Lots of websites allow that feature and it is very convenient.

    Bugsy and OptionsOptionsOptions like this.
  3. What is convenient about logging in with a Google account and why else would someone want to log in with it?

    Google/Gmail login.

Most ppl here have a Gmail account and many have Android phones. Logging in with Google is one-click and would allow Baron more subs and better retention as you can open an account via Google as well.

When will the block feature be returning?

  10. Baron's comment earlier in the thread suggests that the old block function may not be compatible with the new software that is coming (not sure if that is just temporary).

If blocking is not available anymore, then I would like to suggest that an alternative be implemented that would still provide some protection of personal journals. General trading threads probably don't need this feature, but journals seem like a special case.

Over the years many personal trading journals have been derailed by persistent trolling; sometimes this occurred even though the aggressor was blocked, apparently because there are workarounds that allowed them to post anyway.

I don't know what blocking alternative might work best if one is needed. I've seen that another message forum allows the OP to "dislike" an individual post and cause it to be hidden, and perhaps something like that is sufficient. Other suggestions are welcome...

Providing some sort of defensive tool like this for journal authors would likely encourage more people to start new journals too.
