Well there is that enemies list, 2012 version. Plus, Nixon had Elvis (with his gun) in the WH and Obama did have JayZ
Yeah, but screwups seem to roll off his back better than they did for Nixon. I think Congress back then had much more moral ethics in both parties and wouldn't stand for such antics.
Nixon went to hell after re-election. From what I remember he easily won re-election in 72, but the Watergate scandal was already picking up momentum...by the time the economy began to tank in earnest, he was neck deep in it. Bernanke and his unlimited QE have saved BO from even more scrutiny. Each and every time the market threatens to retrace this gigantic move from April 2009, we get another stick save. Just look how ugly the news gets towards this admin each and every time the markets go into one of the 10-15% corrections...
The economic data isn't good but I was surprised to the the Fed announce QE3 a month before an election. I don't see the urgency yet. If he is fearing the end of the year events he should have waited at least until after the election. Maybe there is something to the talk of him wanting an Obama win to keep his job.
They do have a lot in common. <img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-sjPr8LDojg8/TunJoRdq3NI/AAAAAAAAAA8/zPCYP3j3m5I/s1600/Obama+Bowls+Nixon.jpg">
