Agreed. The Neo-cons were just that sort. Enemy to both liberals and real conservatives. They slashed taxes and blew out spending and declared themselves genius. They often paid homage to Reagan but the analogy did not apply: Reagan cuts taxes that were already high so he increased revenues by surfing down the Lafer Curve. The Neo-cons cuts taxes that were moderate. Reagan pumped up defense spending to a good purpose: defeating the Evil Empire. The Neo-Cons were hoping to bring Jesus to the Southwest Asia.
