Some clear thinking about Amazon’s ‘shocking’ tax incentives

    I don't think you get the crux of the issue. If you believe that something will make the place where you live unaffordable to you and force you to move to a worse "comparative shithole" then it's not a boon to you no matter how good it is for that neighborhood. Neither Amazon nor you addressed those concerns, in fact you just told those folks "WHATEVER" to those concerns. I'm not saying you're wrong (and yes, I've at least lived in that area for a couple months) about if Amazon would be good for the area overall; as a knowledge economy worker who would come in and displace those folks it's all good for me. However at some level you have to grasp that when you tell someone "This will be good for the place where you live but you may not be able to live there anymore, and if you're concerned about that then "WHATEVER", it's your own fault", they may not be amenable to what you're selling?
