I was bit sceptical at first, but it's actually very similar. One search for patterns in random structure, then bring those into the light. I like his approach. ,,Unintentional surrealism" , good way to fight the ,,artblock" and one of the least stressfull styles. (One doesn't have to bother about what comes next) Beautiful shading. Just as an addition, for people not to make the mistake,- there could have been 1000's of outcomes from the first skectch & 1000's of ways to start it. The very basic well known one, would be something of Pollock's technique. Creativity overall, has high correlation with general knowladge. Here's the irony : make something that everyone could understand & that will be considered creative. On the other hand - make something that very few can understand & that might be considered not as creative & will get less attention. Word. So basically, one can ,,adjust" his levels of creativity by choosing the target audience.
Portfolio down ~20% ********************************************** Interesting state. In the spring it was free monies. Now it's down every week. None of these gives any emotional impact. Just looking for lessons.
Thanks. Trying to keep it ,,honest/real". Nothing to be sorry about tho. It's a (temporary (?)) drawdown*. Might sound weird, but i wish it was 50% or even 80%. And then end up a year with comeback of ~20% ytd. Something new. Since portfolio is 100% long, i enjoy that noone can ,,kick" me out. (Positions are red, but none of those were closed, still ongoing) No margin. No Cfd's. No shorts. No options. No futures. I just need to - wait...
My job puts me in a distant locations. No YT available. Can get a song by the name tho or will check once im back to ,,civilization". And waiting is good. Was the main intention from the start 4 yrs ago. Making art while -waiting.
Oke. Getting a good lesson here. Have to learn to sit on cash. Better few % down from inflation than 80% (one of positions) by impatience. The whole portfolio value is down by 25%. None of positions were closed.
