Me got the gold. I think it verified OK but as the clunky gif shows the STR-SQU isn't 'ticked' (maybe it's supposed to be like that). Will give Tech a call. Thanks again. lj
I have found the same with the channel tool. The problem is not the number of channels you have on the chart, it is the number of VE's on a single channel. I can create the problem by drawing a long channel with around 20 VE's. It appears (taking a guess here) that the channel tool calculates the slope of the line on each VE. Once you reach a critical point things seem to go bad. It does not appear to be a cumulative problem...one VE less and everything is good, one too many and the CPU overload starts. The next time you encounter this problem try deleting your most recent channel that has a lot of expansions.
Have you got the realtime datafeed enabled? (not just delayed data) When I started using TN I had to wait a couple of days before the automated trendlines appeared. I didn't do anything besides waiting
Thanks munck. Yes I'm using RT data. Last PM worked with one of the TN techies for about 2 hours on remote desktop and just couldn't get the PL's to come up. What you say makes sense because with the OTR chart there will have been enough tick data accumulated to do the job. I did not download 'historical' data onto a CD and that would have helped. Clearly then the 'starter' data packet was insufficient. So like you I'll just wait. lj
Hi ljyoung, You need to increase the amount of data available to the software. The date range of the data needs to be more than what you have selected. I don't know the exact amount. Tech support logged into my computer and fixed mine. Tell this to tech support and they will square you away. I forgot how they did it. Sorry for only half the help but this should point them in the right direction. gooch87
lj, I just tried this on my software and it worked.
Thanks gooch. Will do. I just got back from my dentist and needed a bit of good news. $1000 CDN for a crown. Ouch. lj
