  4. While I cannot say with any degree of certainty (as I did not test these functions while using the 'Silver' or 'Lite' Versions of the TN Software), You can test out the functions under all three Software Versions (without charge) for 30 days in order to see which version meets your needs the best. Having said that, anyone wanting to learn after hours might consider the Tic by Tic replay (which replays the entire futures workspace) as helpful to the learning process. Using this feature allows the learning trader to 'practice at night' (while continuing their day job).

So we can either buy the software for 745 or 2450 and use a separate data provider such as a supported broker, or we can pay 115 a month and get the gold version of the software. Is this correct?

Also besides an automated means of the culling process, what advantages does this software have for trading the equities method?

It can be difficult to sort out their packages. You still need to pay exchange fees for real time data on top of the lease or purchase fees, unless your broker picks them up. Apparently the leased versions don't have all the functionality of the purchased ones, but I don't think that affects any of our indicators. Here is what they told me:

With the lite version you will get delayed YM and ES, futures and delayed FX. To get stocks you need the $119 package. Even if you only want stocks, you still need the $119 package - EZ

Thanks for the explanation. Now can anyone explain what advantage this software will have for trading stocks over using wealth lab and quote tracker or esignal, besides the automated culling?

Is it possible for someone with no programming skills to automate trading the equities method with this software?

FWIW, I wanted to point something out to new TN users. The bar time is close of bar, as noted by the bottom pop up window. But the layout of the time scale is for open bars.

This is my 4th software program this year, not noticing the offset really messed with my study of the journal the last couple months. Referring to the wrong bars on my part, etc., created a lot of confusion. In case someone didn't notice how the time layout works, I hope this will save you a lot of headaches.

    Regards - EZ
