    DOes anyone know if the silver version of Trade Navigator can be used if one wants to only trade equities? Besides the culling process what are the other advantages of this software for equities method only?

    We can look in to C:\Genesis\Brokers folder to see list of supported brokers.

    Sorry, you can't do that. For example, IB is not supported but you will still find it in that directory.

    You only need broker support if you intend to place orders using the TN software.

    Sorry if I've added to the confusion. I only wanted to point out that the only way to know if a broker is supported is to call genesisft and ask (or perhaps your broker). As you can see from the email response I got they did not want to send me a list of brokers (I asked for one).

    Just a comment about the DOM levels; even if the 5 levels are not available in realtime, they are there in the playback.

    For TN users who want to copy symbols from Spydertrader's filtered Equities to the Quote Board for viewing:

    1. Highlight the Symbol (you can drag for multiple choices)
    2. RMB and take option: Add selected symbols to Quote Board.

    Filtered symbols are added to the Quote Board.

    What would be the reason to actually buy TN?

    The standard package includes TN/Gold and all the data you'll ever need (YMMV, of course) in a subscription model similar to eSignal, qcharts etc

  8. Annotation Aids

    To create the Default Points One, Two Three Annotation settings, click on the 'Wave Labels' icon.

    <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2056785>

    Now, move your curser to the Price Pane and click three times in order to annotate the chart. Right click over one of the numbers to bring up the 'Wave Label' Edit dialog box. Follow these directions to set the defaults for annotations. (After clicking on the 'Add Custom Label' Button, type, One {comma} {space} Two {Comma}{Space} Three - not the words themselves, but what the words mean).

    <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2056790>

    Once set, the Wave Label icon now allows for easy Point One, Point Two and Point Three annotation.

    <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2056788>

    To create the Default Settings for the 'Text Dialog Box' click on the 'Big Letter 'A' Icon'.

    <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2056796>

    Again click the Price Pane in order to begin the annotation process. The Dialog Box should pop up once the annotation completes. Set the defaults as follows.

    <img src=http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/attachment.php?s=&postid=2056798>

    Once set, clicking on the 'Big Letter 'A' Icon' and then clicking on the Price pane (and then dragging the curser to the location of where one wants the arrow pointed) places the default annotation text onto the chart. The edit dialog box now pops up for ease of editing (to change from default to FTT, FBO, etc.)
