Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

  1. Has anyone figured out yet how to use the new Wealth-Lab and get into the chartscripts?

I'd hate to lose the chartscripts that Spyder coded due to my limitations figuring out "techie" stuff. :D

  4. Patience, my friend.

I hope to have something for you very soon which will allow you to never have to concern yourself again over Wealth-Lab's issues. :)

    Hello All,

I am interested in pursuing Jack's Future trading method (using 5 minute ES) as outlined in Spyder's Futures and Iterative Refinment journals.

I have begun reading over the journals, and it seems my first step is to begin monitoring the ES. My current broker does not have futures information, so I will be starting from scratch here.

I would like some suggestions on brokers, and software for trading using the method. Here is what I am thinking I would like:

Good charting platform that allows me to annotate as outlined in the journals.

Ability to play back the day (or previous days?) via simulation, as I have a fulltime job, and wont be able to monitor the full market day real time. Ideally I would like to be able to run a full day back during the night after I get home from work. Also, stepping up the playback speed might be nice as well, although I don't know if that is recommended.

Abillity to view historical 5m charts of ES so that I can go back and annotate them as well. I have alot of work to do, and being able to annotate historical static charts would help I think.

I won't be trading this method for some time, so it would be nice to incur minimal fees while I am not trading.

    Thank you for your suggestions.

Thats sounds very interesting indeed :)

    @ BBQ:
You can also use NinjaTrader. It is free for simulation usage, and you can download ES data and use its replay function.

Interesting. Does it allow you to replay anyday, or just todays? Does this work with all their supported brokers?
