Software Used to Trade Jack Hershey Methods

Discussion in 'Trading Software' started by Tums, Jun 26, 2007.

  1. I tested NinjaTrader 6.5 today with the Zenfire feed from Mirus and I liked what I saw. The feed runs smoothly and the charts are very clear. Drawing is as easy as it is in QuoteTracker. The only thing that lacks is a volume colour script. Could someone repost it please?

Nevermind, I found a version here:

    Thanks, LostTrader!

  2. For some reason the VolumePRV doesn't display, neither the volume bar nor the PRV. I've tried to change my session time from the default settings but this didn't help. I'm using v6.5

  3. LostTrader,

when I export an indicator from NT I get a .ntms file - how do you convert that to zip so it can be uploaded here?

You are on an older beta version, upgrade to the latest and a ZIP will be exported.

  6. Thanks, I got it - there's a new version of NT almost every week.

I thought people might enjoy watching an autochannels indicator, so here is one. It's based on SpyderTrader's latest autochannel Wealthscript, as used in the 5.0 Equities chartscript.

The RTL determination sometimes does odd things, so there's definitely room for improvement and development. And I haven't fully cleaned up the code.

As in the Wealthscript, only the most recent channel is maintained but you can overlay indicators with different periods, colors etc.

I also wonder if it might be better to update at the end of the bar, so you can actually see the BO's, rather than having the channels instantly redrawn.

    Anyway, hope it proves useful!

  7. A little more info, please... What is your data feed? Some-one mentioned a problem if on external data. I am working on streamlining it & will post another this week-end.

  8. The datafeed is Zenfire from Mirus.
I imported the script directly from the file. I didn't change any of the settings or code.

Here's a screenshot of what VolumePRV looks like on my platform:

  9. OK, that is just weird...

I do not know. Pr0crast uses Zenfire & Mirus, and it works for him...

Make sure you are at the 6.5.08 beta, please, and try importing this one. Then after you compile it, and re-apply it on your chart, let me know if there are any messages in your log referring to VolumePRV.

    Thanks!

    Anyone using "Peak Trader Pro"?

It is described on their web site as "a system composed of price and volume leading to continuation or change.... When used correctly, PT Pro can give traders the opportunity to trade in both calm and turbulent market conditions."

A Revolutionary Approach to Day Trading.... 30 Years of documented research

The screen shot in Futures magazine looks like a Hershey annotated screen with FTTs and channels.

They will be at the NY Trader's Expo.... Does anyone know if they will be trading live?

Any information on this Hershey software would be great!
