Is anyone using TradeStation 8 for charting and annotating JH/S style? Is it doable?

How good is it as compared to, for example, qcharts or esignal?

    cheers,

I've been experiencing delays in my data from Qcharts lately. At times I'll see the last trade change in my MB Trading screen and then have to wait 30 seconds or even over a minute sometimes for the prints to register in Qcharts.

I generally only use Qcharts' Santa Clara servers #s 5 & 10 (as recommended by Spyder) due to their consistent data accuracy. I did a couple of things recommended by Qcharts tech support, but that didn't help. I've also looked at the servers through QFAI and noticed that all the Santa Clara servers seem to be running slow or failing (yellow dots or red Xs) while the new Hayward servers seem to be running fine.

Has anyone else experienced this delay issue? If so, can anyone recommend any of the Hayward servers for accuracy?

    Thanks,
    -A

  3. EDIT: I uploaded a downlevel file & sincerely apologize so I am doing this again.

OK, I have been playing with the VolumePRV indicator for Ninjatrader. Here is a new & improved version.

It has commands new with v6.5 (beta) so it will only run with 6.5 – hope that’s OK. Also I color coded PRV.
The prior Volume is printed at the upper right (after the next beta release of NT, this should be the upper right of the Volume pane).

The disappearance problem should be eliminated now – if it does happen again, look at your log file (a tab on the NT Control Panel). If there are lines that reference VolumePRV, send me a PM with the message in the log.

As always, do not unzip the file, simply IMPORT it into Ninjatrader via the File-Utilities menu.

    Cheers!

  4. What else... Oh yeah, Pr0crast let me know I had a bug in the Pace Lines -- apparently the values could not be changed...

Ah well -- here is an updated version which I have checked on my YM chart.

This is a thread about tools, not about the method. Let's keep it this way.

  7. Help!!

Me trying to set up a rocket set and on QT the MACD histogram "zero" is 0.75 units below the "zero" for the squiggly lines. Does anyone know how to adjust the pane to give a common zero or do I have to add (-0.75) to my rocketeer limits of 0.4 and -0.4.

    TIA

  9. Jerry told me to add the MACD Histogram first, then add the MACD lines separately into the same pane.
