While you wait for Esignal Customer Service, try breaking the symbol lists into chunks of 199 (or 200) symbols, and running smaller lists at a time. It will take a little longer, but you'll get the job done. - Spydertrader
Just to add. I have the QFeed App installed. Since I've started using Qcharts I have never seen a 'green' server on the list. All of the servers that I have selected are 'yellow'. Thanks.
I'll give it a shot Spy. Just one question though. What time do you actually use Qcharts to cull the entire stock market? I remember reading that wealth lab numbers should be generated between 8PM-12AM. Many thanks.
With Qcharts, you can update your data-source in Wealth-lab anytime after market close. I usually wait until 5:00 PM Eastern Time before updating. However, make sure you update before midnight Eastern Time. Otherwise, one tends to pick up odd data. When I cull the entire stock market, I usually perform that task around 5:00 PM Eastern Time as well. - Spydertrader
There are many if you google. I can give you these for a start, Upload.com Screencast .com megaupload.com zupload.com Some will give you 30 days before files get deleted. Screencast is very easy to use. Bandwidth is very important. If you post videos, make sure there is enough or account will be filled quickly. Some kind of ftp site would be great that could hold the videos posted ,so they can remain with the thread for future readers.
UPDATE The problem with culling the entire stock market lies with Qcharts 6. By default users are limited to 200 or 500 symbols. To view info on more symbols at any one time requires an upgrade and increased cost. I installed Qcharts 5.1.0.21 and I can display an unlimited number of stocks in a quotesheet. Problem solved. An issue with email alerts: I cannot get Qcharts to forward my alerts to my gmail account. Yahoo and hotmail have limitations on forwarding which takes them out of contention. What web-email do other Qchart users use to forward alerts? Many thanks!
Here is the Bouncing ball PRV code I use for Amibroker. It is a modified version of the code mischief posted a while back. The prv is not calculated for the first 10 seconds of each bar. Also there is a small bug, the prv does not work on the first ES bar of the day. I have not spend time to fix it since I rarely trade the first bar of the day. If you have any suggestions or improvements please let me know.
Here's mine. it works in playback. If you don't like the volume color, just delete the "volume" part and drag the prv in your regular volume chart. I'm using mischief's GetSecondNum(Time) function too ericta
As far as I know, I followed the above instructions and set QT up exactly the same way, but I'm still getting a 1 min S/S chart that looks like a 1 min YM chart. I've attached a chart from this morning using an offset of 30. Maybe you could take a look and see what's wrong. In the menu, Misc. Options - Portfolio Charts, do you have that checked as $Value?
