  2. Quick question on QuoteTracker:

How do I filter out after-hours data from my futures charts?

  3. In Options...Edit Preferences...Charts...Multiday Timeframes Click "Add" and adjust the times you want showcased in the two "Active Market Time" for Start and End. Hit OK and close out. On each separate chart the is a yellow clock on the drop down. Open this and select the "New Time frame" you just created. Also in this drop down menu don't forget to select "Never" from the "Show Pre/After Market Data.

    Hope this helps.

  4. Can anyone point me to a resource on how to launch (meaning record) my screen using the Windows Media Encoder. I have it downloaded, but all my attempts to record have met with failure:cool:

  5. Wondering if someone can help with regards to using Qcharts for the Hershey method. Specifically culling the whole stock market.

When I use the Hershey sort quotesheet (or new quotesheet) and insert NYSE, AMEX, or NASDAQ symbols I only get info for around 147 or so symbols.

Am I doing something wrong here?

    Thanks!

  6. I have switched to Bulent's recorder. It is the best I have used so far. Very easy to use, easy to record avi and switch to wmv files. You can annotate and add sound .
Best part it is a simple button layout.
    Videos are clear.
As someone here mentioned, record 3 frames per second instead of the default 10. You can find that feature in the configure tab on the main recorder.
You will find the cpu can run low if you do that.
Tried out a few and I find this very easy and FREE !

  7. Here is a picture of the recorder and the configure tab opened .
You can see the feature to capture frames opened, and set to 3 instead of default 10.

  8. Several people have posted videos in the futures thread. I can't remember who and what service they used to host them. I'd apprecitate some direction on this matter. I remember one that was very easy to use. Didn't have to download or sign in or wait for the video to load. Just clicked on the link, got directed to a web page and the video started. Wish I had more details.
    thanks

  9. I apologize for not seeing your post sooner.

Head over to this web site and obtain the symbols lists for The AMEX, NASDAQ and NYSE. You'll want to download them in excel (or .csv) format. The data files contain other data besides the symbols, but we only need the symbols themselves. Copy each symbol list into one large file. Use the attached 'Hershey Sort' workspace and import the list of symbols into Qhcarts by right clicking on the Quotesheet. Once imported, you can cull all symbols without data, and those which do not meet threshold on the list of fundamental parameters. I currently have about 858 symbols in my culled list (not using Insider and Institutional Owned columns).

    I hope this helps.

  10. Hi Spy,

    Thanks for your help.

After following your instructions I'm still having the same problem. After I import all the synbols into the quotesheet I am getting info for only 183 symbols.

I have a limit on symbols (200). So once I've imported the symbols I get a warning from the eSignal data manager that reads:

    "Error
Your symbol count exceeds that authorized by your password. Please limit your symbols accordingly or the eSignal Data Manager will do so during its midnight run. If you would like to track more symbols, you must request a service upgrade."

I don't think this should have any effect on the culling process. I am using version 6.0.0.25 (latest build).

Any thoughts? Maybe I should get in touch with cust service.

    Thanks.
