I don't know if anyone here uses eSignal's DOME to view Depth of Market but if you do, I've made a request to add an option to size the bars (horizontal stalactites) relative to the largest ask or bid size in the whole DOM. Currently, the 5 bid levels are all sized relative to the largest bid and the 5 ask levels are all sized relative to the largest ask. If the largest bid is much larger than the largest ask, then the 5 ask levels appear larger than they really are. There are times when the best ask is smaller than the best bid, but the bar for the best ask is larger than the bar for the best bid.

If you use the DOME and want them to add an option to scale it so that all the ask and bid levels are sized relative to the largest ask or bid, then please let them know:

If any of you QT users recently updated to version 3.8.6a on about Aug. 29th and afterwards noticed that you could only draw a limited number of trendlines on the volume bars before your previous trendlines began to disappear, ver. 3.8.6a-2 appears to fix the problem.

Get the new "Stocks.exe" file at: http://download.quotetracker.com/download/stocks.zip

Unzip it and use it to replace the old one in your "C:\Program Files\QuoteTracker " folder (or wherever you run it). :)

Do many of you use ButtonTrader ?
It seems handy to be able to see the Wall right on the chart.

  4. Anyone familiar with camtasia ?

Have a question about the rendering of the project.
What media selection works best for rendering?
I have tried out windows media player, but for a 3 minute sample of video, it must have been 10 minutes to complete this task.

I understand the selection is based on need of file format, but just something for playback for personal use, and that may speed up the rendering process.

Or is this normal for it to take that long?

One of the best screen capture software is HyperCam. It is very easy to use and it records second for second speed. You can get the latest version from download.com or their website. It is free, but you will have "unregistered" text in upper corner. The license is really cheap, something like $40.

  7. I have used Hypercam. I was very happy with the recording, very easy to use.
The problem for myself was the CPU was running at 100% when recording and freezing up esignal data.
I don't have that happeneing with camtasia. The CPU runs low on that software.
I'll COntinue to work on this and try post something that can be helpful.

  8. Does anyone know how to extend the time line past the 4:00 close in QCharts? I'd like to see a few bars past mkt close.

    Thanks in advance.
