OK, if you can do this, then you do have the STR/SQU in it's own chart, so the Horz bars should be added as an upper indicator (instead of lower), as I have mine... Are you using an offset?
I've understand IQ & Esignal send all data and IB sends "snapshots" every 200ms. Obviously, there's some gaps in IB's Tic chart, but maybe that's a better way to go, if during times of extreme volume the charts don't lag behind the actual price. ticktrade, how do the Tic charts compare during other times of the day? Are they more similar with lower volume?
I havent compared that much during different market environments. The faster the market the more it matters though.
Thx, yes, I got help with this and figured out what I was doing wrong - wasn't selecting "value" in the "show" box when you pull down the edit box. Embarassing.....
Does anyone have an S/S set up in Quote tracker that they find the least bit useful? Seems the manner the info is displayed, i.e. without a histogram, the information given is one very difficult to assimilate and two even more difficult to interpret. Any thoughts?
Very slow to come onto this thread - must be my innate aversion to all software in general Hi ticktrade (are you aka "deltashift" ??) - may I please ask where one finds the option within Ensign to select the gray-colored "no change" bars? Thank you.
Anyone had to do anything special to get ES quotes from MBT into QT? I am using the symbol /ESU7 but I am not getting any quotes. I get equities quotes in QT from MBT without any problems. I have also tried the MB Navigator and Ninja. Both work fine and they do receive ES quotes from MBT.
Mak suggested the following: For you esignal users, plot the newly range/tick bar plot for your enlightenment. Then plot on the same chart the bid and the ask and WATCH VERY CLOSELY. You will then have the range chart overlayed with the bid and the ask and you will see how the DOM moves ahead of the range chart. Has anyone figured out how to plot the bid and ask directly on the range/tick chart? On eSignal, a true tick chart (i.e., using "t" as the interval) does show the bid and ask as well as the transaction price. But I haven't found a way to display the bid and ask on a one-tick range chart (i.e., using "0.25r" as the interval). Thanks, Jason
Jason: here is what I have been using for my price pane in AmiBroker which shows Bid/Ask on Y axis as a "Label" (as well as tick bars which are set as an interval selection). You might be able to translate to ideas for eSignal as well. -Rick edit: rt click and save text file to your computer then open, but this is a software forum so everybody already knows that (except me) : )
