  1. What is the best software for an IB feed with this criteria:
    -Under $100/month
    -frequence < 5 trades a day
    -programable
    -options, futures, forex charting

  2. Ninjatrader is $50 a month.

or you could use Excel... depends on what you need I suppose.

  3. Ditto for Ninja. I don't use it anymore, as I wrote my own. But it meets your stated needs.

  4. Thanks guys. I was looking at ninja trader, and posibly amibroker. Trading is extracurricular for me, I may try excel since I have programmed a bunch in VB but I don't know when I will have time to write a full app.

InvestorRT (www.linnsoft.com) has just undergone a major upgrade to 10.0 that has full integration with IB. You can input your data from IB, and send orders directly from charts with customizable buttons, and by moving reference lines, etc. etc. etc.

Complete backtesting of portfolios and integration with real-time trading. Great support.

  6. Sierra Chart.

    Has it all.

And has a worksheet interface (simplified excel) to use for programming indicators or systems if you don't want to get into programming languages.
