  3. Well, M. Cou-Rouge, you obviously missed the posting rules for acceptance into the B-Team. You owe us a brief non-proprietary description of how you trade and/or invest. We all long ago shared our methods with ET, to the utter disdain of the A-Team. We are all of us CW (and that don't stand fer Counrty and Western).

  4. Is Neoxx a trade name for an English Everclear? I believe he is a limey from his orthography. Too tight-assed to be a Canadian.

  5. Haha.

Neoxx? Maybe the new Epsom printer,...only prints out what it's told to print out.

  6. Gent(i)le readers, do you ever wonder why immoderation tolerates , nay, ENCOURAGED, the creation of this thread?

To give the lonely wretched pathetic loser B-Team its own home? Nah!!!!

To see if we could improve SCT through pee(r) review? Unlikely.

To see if we would make utter fools of our selves and make the A-Team look brilliant by comparison? Most likely.

None-the-less, I feel obliged to present a pseudo-technical argument de temps en temps.

So today I take on the central tenet of SCT: that it is the polar opposite of the conventional wisdom.

Sorry I am using the one-line Jack format here, I am getting into it.

    Now

    before that lamentable day
when first I came under Jack's sway
(a nice rhyming suggestion for 666)

I had no idea that I was the epitome of the CW.

Jack says the CW is edge-oriented, probabilistic, backtests, stops, uses profit targets, and expects/tolerates drawdowns.

In truth I think that the CW is any method that isn't SCT, but no matter.

In my next post, I will atempt to prove that SCT IS IN FACT TOTALLY CW!

But first, Neoxx, I must take a few hits of oxygen. When you get to be my age, the last fucking thing you'll want is 3M micropore inhibiting your breating.

Wheeze ,cough! Hack, spit! Gasp, cry!

  7. ??? You talkin' to ME? YEW talkin' to ME! Don't know how I'm M. Cou-Rouge, but anyway, for the sake of discussion, I will share how I trade:

    1. On paper
    2. Goin' cash this week
    3. With 3 martinis in me
    4. Exactly like you

    [EDIT]Search his posts, I'm surprised Cou Rouge isn't the 21st personality, he's a good guy[/EDIT]

    Redneck

    Socrates/ etal,

With all due respect Sir I prefer not to subscribe to any team because –

At the end of each day I, and only I – will be accountable for how, what, and when I trade – and – how much I loose / earn on any given trade

    I day trade – as a business

    How I trade

    Price go up = Long
    Price go down = Short

Exit when I am wrong, (and maybe even reverse depending on my interpretation of current conditions)

    Or

Exit when I believe I’ve got all I am going to get out of that trade (I can always re-enter if it keeps moving)

    Then

Once I hit my daily goal – my work day is done

    Wash, Rinse, Repeat

(Readers thinking to themselves at this point – Well duhh Redneck ain’t you a flipping genius)

Folks – I’m just keeping it real for me

However more importantly at least to me – (than the act of trading as described above) is being able to conduct myself as a trader and exploit every “Potential” opportunity I am able to identify in the market / stock I’m trading – and exit when that “Potential” opportunity doesn’t pan out

To that end I’ve tried to, and continue to try (continuing education) to learn about all the different “indicators/ edges” I can – I don’t use them per se – but I know someone does and that’s what I’m always looking for “Potential” opportunity

I joined this forum because I made a commitment to myself to “pay it forward” this year to the best of my ability… And I appreciate the “B” Team’s efforts in trying to do the same

    Here’s what I can’t do

Predict the market or stock’s direction for any given time period

Do a DNA transfer with someone so they can see what I see, do what I do, or trade the way I trade (ala Hersey)

Give anyone an edge (I believe they need to figure that one out on their own)

Tell anyone how, or what – they should or should not trade (again I believe they need to figure that one out on their own)

Afford to get any type of ego (That’s why I’m a Redneck – well that and the fact I live in the South…)

    What I do – do

    Maintain a Business plan
    Maintain a Trade plan
    Maintain a Journal
Constantly monitor myself for areas of improvement
    Constantly monitor the market
Constantly monitor and learn from others
    Manage my losses fervently
Believe there are several ways / methods to successfully trade – and each trader has to find their own way and be accountable to their self

Sorry I have nothing better to offer
