Socks, Bill Clinton's white house pet, has passed away. President Clinton says the family has many fond memories of the cat. After the white house was embroiled in the Monica Lewinski scandal, Mr Clinton spent many a quiet evening alone with Socks, and the two developed a very intimate bond. Socks died of throat cancer.
