My niece who is a college age "activist" wants to invest.
She is looking to start her 401k but needs some good Socially Responsible Mutual Funds. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have looked into Calvert for her already. Any comments on that company? Thanks in advance.

  2. "Socially Responsible" and "Mutual Funds" an antinomic and marketing farce. Most of them put the money in the same corporates than "normal mutual funds" the only difference is they pretend to use an "independant" firm to audit the corporates like Total the petreoleum consortium : "Total Ethic" for sure !
So it's better she'd learn to choose the firm where she would invest herself and it would be much more fruitful and educative for her !

  4. That's an oxymoron if ever I heard one.
