Who do you think is going to pay for this government boondogle? The middle class will! There is no free lunch.

Maybe Obama should try fixing the ball and chain we already have around our neck first before adding another one. Fix Medicare first! If government can't fix medicare then we don't need them trying to take over the entire healthcare system.

As long as "free" means that it will be paid from the 10/5 State Fed C tax pool....no other taxes....

    The statement is cool....

thats why it has to be done through incentives. Cleveland Clinic which employs 40,000 people across several states will not hire a smoker going forward, they offer yoga clases, deit classes , they are trying to educate their employees on healthier lifestyles. The smoking % has decreased in their town. It is better to motivate a fat ass turd to walk further than to have all of us pay for him to swallow cholestoral pills.

"60% of US bankruptcies in 2007 were due to medical bills"

Now get that ass off the couch and walk...park further from the mall entrance if you have to. ;o)

The way this is going we will eliminate most health care for the older folks ( no viable payback since they are a drag on society).
We will end up with socialized medicine after the gov'mt under cuts prices enough to put private companies out of business. NOT AN UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCE.
All this to cover maybe 20 mil. U.S. citizens.
    Power grab.

  5. LOL! Good one! California already says it needs "15%" flat state income tax... not including any new proposed health care costs..

Reminds me of the movie, "Soylent Green". I think that is Obama's vision.

    This is easy....

Just state to the country ....

Look Cali won't go the 10/5 unless there is a 2% Cali surcharge tax for 5 years....

And furthermore.....what would move it over the edge....like hot butter on bread....

Would be....a "No TV" statement by Cali if not passed....

And because of "couch potato horror" ....the nation would unanimously agree....
