Europe is not socialist and all the states in this continent and Scandinavia became rich enough to adopt some semi-socialist policies through capitalism.

  2. Are you a teenager or early 20s?

I'll put Atlas Shrugged another way. It is a handy primer for people who are bad in heart and deed but for some reason, don't want to feel bad or at least be judged. Then add a lot of random stuff Rand came up with that she never thought out.

A comforting fiction for spoiled people.

The only attack on the 2nd is on the distortion the NRA tried to field as truth about it, the meaning of the comma and other lobbyist lunacy. If one followed it to the logical conclusion, any grenades or other explosives or other lethal weapons in the military's arsenal should be possessed by civilians also, with almost no training or mental competence assessment.

So I'll take my view and you try being good instead of a grey nothing of excuses.

Congratulations! You've discovered the definition of socialism that the rest of the world uses, a capitalist system which socializes costs for things like medical care, care for the elderly and sick, and social safely nets. Not the same thing as Communism, not mutually exclusive with capitalism, which appears to be your definition. We came up with two different words for a reason, they have different meanings.

I went through an Atlas Shrugged phase when I was 15 too. Happens to the best of us.

Why don't you donate your Social Security income to the Heritage Foundation?

Evva Pryor helped Ayn Rand apply for Social Security and Rand received a small monthly benefit check, having contributed very little to the program.

The max contribution (2016) was 7,400. My father received >$30,000/yr in benefits at age 62 back in 1993. Why don't you Randians donate your surplus?
