So where are all the IRS-Obama Scandle People now that the Truth is coming out?

  1. piezoe,

Aren't you even a little troubled by the fact that numerous IRS bigshots testified to congress that there was no targetting going on? And that they never corrected those claims even after it was abundantly clear that their previous testimony was untrue. And that some of them are now claiming the Fifth?

Or is that just the way the Obama/Holder administration rolls? Lie through your teeth , then stone wall and string it out through the courts, etc.

Some of the harrassment of these groups went far beyond simply determining if they were eleigible for the tax status they sought. For example, supposedly confidential donor lists were leaked to leftwing groups.

Where are all the liberal naysayers now that the IRS Inspector General stated that Democratic leaning groups were never targeted.

Watchdog knocks down Dem claim that liberal groups were targeted by IRS

The government watchdog that exposed IRS targeting of conservative groups gave a blunt response to Democrats' claims that the agency also targeted liberals: It never happened.

I don't see any evidence at all that this had anything to do with the Obama administration. There were 292 conservative political organization applying for social welfare agency statutes at the time there was 20 "progressive" organizations applying. All of them illegal under Congressional statutes, it seems. Many of them committed perjury on their applications according to propublica.org.

See http://www.c-span.org/Live-Video/C-SPAN2/ at about 25 minutes in. Rep. Joe Crowley followed by the Chairmans response.

I agree, it was all just a huge coincidence, just like the plethora of scandals currently facing obama, obama, the president, the most powerful man in america had nothing to do with any of this, he is an innocent bystander in his own administration.

Most administrations have scandals, and 95% of them evaporate. You guys have been clutching at straws. Because of your hate and wishful thinking.

Maybe in your pea little brain. How man scandals do we have going now? Is it 4? 5? I've lost track it is so many.

And, these are not just little scandals. These are on the scale of Watergate. Every one of them. These are major scandals whether they go all the way to the White House or not. They are of the nature that happened during the Nixon administration.

I guess all those years of voting present prior to his presidency gave him lots of experience in being unaccountable. [IMG]

  9. There are two things that infuriate me about these scandals. One, they cut so deeply into the very legitimacy of our govenrment. Look at them, Solyndra for example, or the dozens if not hundreds of other taxpayer grants to so-called green energy firms that all by some huge coincidence were run or controlled by Obama financiers and which all went bust after taking the taxpayer money. Chicago-style corruption on a grand scale. Or Fast and Furious, an idiotic scheme to generate support for onerous gun control. They are so extreme theyare prepared to ship guns to cartel killers to advance gun control. Or the iRS scandal. Can anything cut into the legitimacy of government more than using the IRS to target your political enemies?

The second thing that infuriates me is the media double standard. If any of this had happened with Bush, the media would have been howling for impeachment. They howled over various anti-terrorist measures, but when Obama continued them, silence. Apparently it matters who is in the WH.

There is a legitimate question of whether the president was involved. In past scandals, the media and the Hill bellowed "what did the [republican] president know and when did he know it?" Now, we get excuses about how big the government is,etc. Apparently, Obama is only personally responsible fo things that go well. He was closely involved in getting osama, we all know that. When the big target he put on Seal Team Six got most of them killed, he was nowhere to be found.

He claims to be very disturbed about the possibility of the IRS infringing groups rights, but in sort of a weird third person observer way. You would think he has no ability to call in the Commissioner and the head of the FBI and demand answers and heads. No, he is just concerned but not enough to do anything. The truth, which everyone knows, is even if he didn't personally direct the plan, he liked it and wouldn't have stopped it. He just didn't want his fingerprints on it.

All you need to do to prove to any dope who claims the media is not bias is compare the treatment of bush over the patriot act, vs the treatment of obama over the NSA spying, the same morons who said bush was a war criminal, not only have the nerve to call the whistle blower, snowden, a criminal, they also want to see the journalists who reported on it brought up on charges.
