your joke is not that much of a joke... his dad was African. for instance my wife's parents were from Holland... and I think they were still dutch when she was born... I have never checked... would that not make her Dutch and American at birth? maybe my kids could get EU citizenship if they tried? Why is it so wrong to point out the guy's dad is from Africa? it is a fact is it not? Your side has already done this to Cruz and will do some more if he runs. http://www.factcheck.org/2008/08/obamas-kenyan-citizenship/ As a citizen of the UKC who was born in Kenya, Obama’s father automatically received Kenyan citizenship via subsection (1). So given that Obama qualified for citizen of the UKC status at birth and given that Obama’s father became a Kenyan citizen via subsection (1), it follows that Obama did in fact have Kenyan citizenship after 1963. So The Rocky Mountain News was at least partially correct. But the paper failed to note that the Kenyan Constitution prohibits dual citizenship for adults. Kenya recognizes dual citizenship for children, but Kenya’s Constitution specifies that at age 23, Kenyan citizens who possesses citizenship in more than one country automatically lose their Kenyan citizenship unless they formally renounce any non-Kenyan citizenship and swear an oath of allegiance to Kenya. Since Sen. Obama has neither renounced his U.S. citizenship nor sworn an oath of allegiance to Kenya, his Kenyan citizenship automatically expired on Aug. 4,1984.
GOP senator: Don’t make employees wash their hands after going to the bathroom, because freedom Down with tyrannical hygienic regulations!
House Passes 56th Anti-Obamacare Measure WASHINGTON -- The House of Representatives on Tuesday voted for the 56th time to repeal or undermine the Affordable Care Act. The vote was largely symbolic, because the measure is unlikely to pass the Senate and would face a certain veto from President Barack Obama if it did.
You have a point albeit you have it backwards. Republicans are trying to keep their base mollified with the bread and circuses of hearings, votes on bills that will go nowhere, etc. Their true goal however is to avoid controversy and prove--one wonders to whom--that they can "govern," whch apparently means rubberstamping whatever outrage obama vomits up each week. Their spineless "leaders" have convinced themselves of two fundamental truths. One, that any government shutdown or showdown with Obama poses an existential threat to them and their majorities. Two, that their recent electoral success stemmed from keeping the volume down and appearing nonthreatening. As Reagan might have said, they know a lot but much of it is wrong. The most fundamental principle of politics is you have to secure your base. Romney broke it, so did McCain. Republicans had their base on board and energized after obama's illegal amnesty, his cavalier disregard for public health and the continuing horror of obamacare. Within two weeks of the elections, they had managed to backstab their base and reinforced their image of servants of Wall Street. Now they refuse to take up even battles they can easily win, like blocking the AG nominee. Whoever gets their presidential nomination will face a steep climb to convince the conservative base that they should bother to turn out and vote for them. The party establishment has proven themselves to be liars and indeed contemptuous of their base. Thye may be surprised to find that defense contractors, Wall Streeters and illegals are not a very big segment of the voting public.
Regardless... what about the allegation Odumbo may have given up his (supposed?) US citizenship in exchange for financial aid for schooling in Indonesia? If true, would make him a "naturalized citizen" and therefore ineligible to hold the office of POTUS. ?? (Seems a legit question... considering his education records are "sealed"... and why would they be sealed? Unless of course, there was info that he didn't want disclosed?)
His education records are probably sealed because he was a poorly performing C student - just like Bush and Kerry. As the old expression goes - the "A" students go into science & engineering, the "B" students go into business, and the "C" students go into politics.
