While it is tempting to think so, I postulate that the average American lives in luxury well beyond their actual contributions to society or productivity. Thus we do provide an ongoing subsidy to the people. Let's hear what you folks do for a living and we'll see if it justifies your lifestyle. If its trading the markets, (I know almost none of you do it for a living) then don't bother to answer since you contribute next to nothing other than providing a living for the other leeches (brokerage)
Sorry I believe in capitalism. I don't believe somebody else gets to arbitrarily determine what kind of a lifestyle is justified.
