So the SEC fee basically tripled today?

  3. So? I was making a ton more money a few years ago too. The last thing I need right now is my profit going to the freakn worthless SEC.

  7. SEC has been doing this for as long as I remember, this is a standard operation.

    Every year or so they enact a rule to screw the daytrader/scalper. And then they raise fees.

    On occasion they lower the fees by a minute amount and make a huge fuss about it.

    It's very clear that one of their agendas is to attack the independent trader.

    I haven't seen anything from the discount brokers saying they are raising their fees. How are they not being affected?

  9. For the flat fee per trade discounters the payments for order flow dwarf the SEC fee.

  10. SEC fee is only for stocks.

    Futures traders pay $0.01 per side to the NFA.
