Western leaders still do not understand Mr. Putin. Most of them see that he is not just another colorless timeserver who thinks that appointing a record number of female economists to the board of his central bank constitutes a historic accomplishment. They are beginning to see that he is in quest of bigger game and that he means what he says about reassembling the Soviet Union and reviving Russian power. But they have not yet really fathomed the gulf between Mr. Putin’s world and their own—and until they do, he will continue to confound their expectations and disrupt their agendas.

  2. No one is defending illegal immigration, you dolt. But you still have to deal with the hand you were dealt and humanitarian crises as they occur.

But you would rather step on the helpless and appease a murderous dictator. Well, aren't you fucking special.

Someone thinks they speaks for all.

So reminiscent of mister "Many people are sayin. Many, many."

Joe Biden just ratcheted up tensions with Russia with additional sanctions. I would be very, very surprised if Vladimir Putin does not respond in kind. Watch for higher prices of oil and natural gas. That is the most potent weapon, Putin has to inflict maximum damage to the US and Europe in short order. Biden cannot coax Putin to negotiate by threatening him. Putin will tighten the screws, considering he has the upper hand.

Again, what sanctions? So far the only sanctions I have seen was "an Executive Order that will prohibit new investment, trade, and financing by U.S. persons to, from, or in the so-called DNR and LNR regions of Ukraine."

That is completely useless, since no one in the US is trading with, investing in, or financing those regions. Are there any new sanctions I missed?

I think the scariest thing out of all this, is that after Russia invades, Biden responds by reading a teleprompter, and is incapable of answering any media questions. I'm a dem, and would love to know who tf is really in charge.

Biden, in 2019: "Putin knows that when I am president of the United States his days of tyranny and trying to intimidate the United States and those in Eastern Europe are over."

    Putin: "Hold my beer".

Many sanctions coming in now. Try to get a clue before you post. It was silly last night and even worse today.
