So should we give Obama a nobel prize for predicting a 10% unemployment?!

  1. Bush was an idiot. He did more damage than any predecessor.

    Quit defending the indefensible.

Even Obama's massive bailout program, which I'm hugely critical of, is a carryover of Dubyanomics.

Damn right its still Bush's fault. In the year 2450 in some far far off galaxy it will still be Bush's fault.

  3. Grow up. Your endless shilling for Obama on every thread is getting old.

Half the items on your list are either bullshit hyperbole, flat out wrong or contrary to one another.

For example Enron. Anyone with more knowledge than you-which is half the free world-knows that Enron was also a prolific contributor to the DEMOCRATS including $362k in soft money to the DNC in 1999 and 2000.

Whose Department of Justice ultimately prosecuted Enron? Clinton's? Hardly.

Not to mention the Obama budgets have far eclipsed any Bush deficits. And before you answer that the new spending is "because of Bush" then why does the CBO estimate the Obama budget deficits will be over 600b as far down the road as 2012?

Just the idea that an idiot like yourself is a Moderator on this site tells one all they need to know about the demise of ET as a trading information portal, eh?

I'd like to stick a nobel prize up Obama's a$$. He continues to sell the U.S.A. down the sewer.

Monty, your skills at twisting reality is as amazing as the democratic black caucus, chris dodd, barney frank, nancy pelosi, obama himself, and last, but the king, at manipulting americans, Bill Clinton! The chronic state of denial you and your freinds are in is the reason I am frightened for the future! Bush himself is problem in shock at how resistant these idiots are. Who would have thought this many seemingly bright americans would deny deny deny any problems taking place. They were all busy doing something but it wasn't governing!

  6. I don't like Obama guys... never voted for him nor supported him. I do think he is far more intelligent than Bush though. I was also so disgusted with McCain (another Democrat registered as a Republican) that I favored him as the lesser of two evils. McCain admitted he knew nothing about the economy... he also said the fundamentals were strong lol.

I also think that Bush destroyed this country... so its my civic duty to expose him. You don't have to agree with me. Bush should've been registered as a Democrat anyway because he spent like a mad-man. Bush also supported TARP (money supply grew during his presidency too and the US dollar weakened). Do you guys really think that the Republican or Democrat policies to solve this mess would be any differnent?

The only aspect Republican about Bush is that he opposed gay-marriage, abortion, and some other social issues. BTW, (because of contrary belief) Democrat presidents historically get us into war.

I like Ron Paul. Campaign for Liberty!

  7. What prediction? Everybody knew it was going to 10% and higher a long time ago - that's why it was argued the "stress tests" for banks were using stress numbers that were too optimistic.

I think most recognized economists were saying 11% or 12% would be a likely place for Unemployment to top out.

What I don't understand is if Obama has any sense why any one of his 300 economic advisors didn't tell him that the last thing employers do in a recovery is add employees. He should have known not to predict his stupidly conceived stimulus wasn't going to hold the unemployment number under 8%. I don't think he is anywhere near as smart as many give him credit for. He clearly doesn't have a grasp of economics or foreign policy and is just stumbling around.

Having studied his history, I believe he is hell bent on getting his liberal agenda enacted at any expense. The economy and foreign policy are just tools at his disposal to reach his ends.
