Ahhh so they've released the early leak which was Phase 3 of 111 saved from 113 then I guess ??

WHO where involved, so ignore what ever they've said seems to work, useless organisation.

Can we close down WHO already, doing wayyy more harm than good.

A scam . The survival rate with the drug is insignificant . Another wall street scam to sway people away from the truth so business gets back to normal

pdate (13:15ET): The NIAD has released a statement on the Gilead remdesivir study. The statement repeated some of the numbers Dr. Fauci shared at the press conference - that patients who took remdesivir saw 31% faster time to recovery than the placebo group, while mortality rates "improved" to 8% from 11.6% an improvement of 3.6 percentage points, which Dr. Fauci acknowledged wasn't "statistically significant."

    Dr. Fauci was "optimistic"

At the end of the day, science is science. If science shows it doesn't work, so be it. We move on. In the mean time you are right, we traders should be objective, personal feeling does not count, so I am taking some of my GILD profits off the table. Thank you sir for your advice.

So only a 3.6 people saves per 100, which is better than nothing, the time in hospital 4days less helps big time ofcourse, maybe it'll work better if given earlier on.

So in Short WHO/Bill Gates tried to trash it and shut it down because it's not what they want.

    Think someone needs a doubletap!!

This is what Dr Fauci said which is more significant than the detail numbers: Because for the first time a drug showed it could block the progression of the disease, it will become the new standard of care for future drugs to be tested against and added to the treatment. Now it is unethical to keep other trials going without it.

Back in 1986 there was no treatment for AIDS and then AZT came along to show there was a drug which could block disease progression. Future drugs were then added to the treatment protocol and today HIV/AIDS is no longer a death sentence.

Also, this is not the end of the story. You need to understand the statistics behind the trials, the final efficacy in the real world will be a lot better, just like HIV, Ebola...

I have no delusions to think remdesivir is the holy grail drug. It is just a first step to treatment and a first mover. We now have a little more than hope and pray.

    Take care and be safe.

Until there is a global depression and those expensive life preserving drugs are no longer available.

Hopefully early treatment than in the trials if not hugely increase life expectancy will reduce the treatment time for the survivors and ease the health service.

If I wanted to be safe, I'd of joined the coast guard " Navy Seals 1991 "
