So, is it a bull or a bear?

well, it certainly looks more bearish today, than it did last night

I'm also inclined to believe this is a primary bear market, that we really never left it from 2000, we havent made large index highs beyond the year 2000. Adjusted for inflation, money in indexes from 2000 has lost wealth, not gained it. While bull and bear market is more a technical chart question, in a real bull market, you gain overall wealth. People certainly did from 1982-1999 in spx. In the spx since 2000, you havent, you lost it. Greenspan/Bernanake may have monitized things so that it doesnt seem as bad as it is, but real wealth was lost, period. Not true in a true bull market.

In any case, my original question was more toward charts for trading index futures.
