In answer to your question(maybe) , naw, he wasn't a trader-he was a gem trader, (opals, etc) and a damn good one. So in essence, he was a trader of sorts, just in biz, face to face, all the time, instead of phone calls. Worked about 16 hours a day, if I recall, worth a packet-wonder if he ever knew how to invest successfully though. He could be worth $1.50 now, depends how smart he was, innit.
I honestly know someone who comes somewhat close to approaching this level of eccentricity - or did, when he had money - well, not his money, but a lot of investors' money (OPM). He's broke now after living like Howard Hughes for about 7 years (thanks to OPM), weighs close to 280lbs, and is leaving the good ole' U.S.A. and heading back to Sardinia, probably to be a legend back in his village, if some of the Sardinians he's ripped off don't murder him in his sleep. It's not the size of the fish, but the pond? Let me go home Iâve had my run Baby, Iâm done I gotta go home Let me go home It will all be all right Iâll be home tonight Iâm coming back home
