Nope, no new jobs yet. Hard to get calls back. Up for some promotions right now but even those are a pain. Tough to get a break. Trading computer died a while back, in process of getting it replaced, then I can get on a demo.
Here is my new trading computer: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3487656&CatId=31 Can't wait to build it and start demo'ing. As far as a job, I have a pretty good prospect for a promotion, I would relocate up to Northern California. -------------- And Facebook!!! If you've been following my Facebook analysis you probably wish you traded my words. And so here is what I POSTED on Facebook this morning: "Facebook below 20 bucks!! Interesting to see what happens tomorrow when the circuit breakers dry up. Next natural targets are 17.50 and 15, a seller came in to hold it below 20 today, probably UBS or someone dumping their stake while they can. 20+% drop in a few days should bring a bounce though, but damn, OG investors must be pissing themselves. No capitulatory move yet but it didn't panic below 20, no stop flood, 19.49 might be the trigger... doubt people want to enter new short positions here, could be a pop tomorrow, but longs might want to bail before the weekend, and new buyers have little reason to bother right now with no long setup other than oversold conditions, combined with complete lack of faith in this stock and new news out there saying that 70 - 80% of FB ad clicks are done by foreign bots... bounce is expected but i'd like to see a strong sell-off tomorrow thanks to the circuit breakers and poor buying environment Theory 19: Zuck lands in prison for frauding companies and cooking the books OR, maybe the bots are run by the banks and it's part of the mega-crime. hype FB at IPO, sell your shares, then short the piss out of it knowing that FB profits are fraudulant and the company is worth 30% of its Q1 book value! genius"
critical point in the markets here. looks like they're ready to pull the floor out under the bond market, stock market testing 52 week highs. this is either a great short entry at the top of a trading range, or the beginning of a massive squeeze. if you hear "stocks roaring" in the headlines in the coming week, rest assured, it has nothing to do with a healthy economy. i previously said something big is coming, this is the start of it, bonds have buckled and are at a critical support level, stock market is at a critical resistance level, who is going to press the button? the coked up money manager? the blindfolded retail dairy cow? r. murdoch or helicopter ben? one thing is for sure, the working class has to lose, and most of them have been told to "play it safe" in bonds, which have been insanely overbought. some are playing the range, some are positioned for a big shift, and others are going to lose on both sides. it's game time in cow town and the money is running wild. GLD is ready for a move, gas above $4, speculators running up food costs, this is the type of action you never want your favorite daughter to see. as a side note, FB ran a new low LOL.
Update: I have an account at IB now and have a great job at ticker ARG. Moved back to Orange County, CA... Costa Mesa to be exact... Life is good At home I have a 3 monitor setup and casually trade the markets. Once I find the time I will get this journal started again.
Congrats on your new job. Did being a prop trader or day trader impede in your job application process? Have you been trading since your absence from ET?
I know how he is thinking because I use to think like him. I did not care about commission and the cost it added into our business model. It's a false loyalty or he really believes his broker is delivering that kind of value. Once he does go broke like most Day-Traders with his model do, at least twice. If he is serious, he will be back asking us the right questions. The cost of business you are accepting is absolutely crazy! Still I ask, what do any of the twenty or thirty-year veterans of trading know that their counterparts who are gone for good know? I know there is nothing we can say to make him understand because he is a college boy with those bright starry eyes not even Dr. Alexander Elder, Dr. Brent Brett N. Steenbarger or Ari Kiev can help with. I spent $20 on commission yesterday to buy 28,000 shares of ZHNE at the average cost of $2.43. Look at the close where I sold it at $3.00 and and another 5000 from my wife's IRA at $3.01 $3.00+$.001*5000 using CINN in her account. Facebook, I bought for my wife's IRA and my IRA, 1300 shares in After-hours and we both made 5 points of $15 in commission including ECN fees in total. For the fees you are paying, I have the best software money can buy and I have subscriptions to the best newsletters I love. You don't have to spend $600 a day in commission to make $300, it makes no sense! Statistically the faster you trade the faster you will bring the inevitable tuition of blowing your account up. Don't feel bad when this happen's, just realize it's part of the cost of learning how to day trade if you can learn from your mistakes. I hope you don't blow up dude, yet you are not taking any of the great advice these seasoned veterans of the Markets are giving you for free!
Dude, you do understand that was like 3 years ago right? LOL. He is no longer AT a prop firm. He has an IB account. And no, I'm not going to re-read this entire thread to see what he paid in commish 3 years ago. He is no longer in the industry.
Sorry Maverick, The last three days were insane for me, my bitch dumped my ass because I refused to give up trading and spend more quality time with her! So, I am sorry if I am not catching all the time-stamps on the forums, they are all very interesting and help me pass the Night. I never went to bed last night and stuck with churning that stock I told you all about. Please allow me some time to get use to this forum, it's been some time since I interacted with a community of traders who can relate to the emotional shit we battle with and all the posers and users who desire to take what we have! On the bright side, ZHNE and FB have treated me far better than my old hag who never could hold a conversation, my next girl I hope might be more crazier! My Trading is my life! For almost thirty-years and I get this crap out of no where "You have to choose me or trading!" Oh, "Fawn you know I love you and how do you suppose we pay our bills, you drive around in a nice Volvo station wagon, hang out with your bitches at the Tennis Club in Avila Beach, California! You have never had a job since we got married and now you throw this out my way?" Trading wins and she is going to have fun with my ex-wife how to divvy up my trading money. Some of my accounts are traded in a Trust solely for my sons, it's their money and I use other accounts for household expenses. I recommend if any of you can trade in a couple of offshore accounts like my Jamaican Broker "Sogo" and a few others, you will not be pillaged if your spouse try's to dump you!you desire more creative maneuvers there are other brokers who don't smoke weed while they talk with you! Just kidding! I picked Trading over my little 31 year old Fawn, I am almost the big 50 and I don't need to deal with insecure people. Thank God she is not knocked up! I ask all of you to please be patient as I assimilate into the forums here. The "Trading goddess" we all worship here, is very jealous with our time we spend and she has never liked Bimbats or Dumbos who don't respect her and drag us away from the Markets, the goddess or god, will punish anyone who does not worship their god properly. Why do traders stay in bad relationships, it's not the sex, I know many of the traders I did Skype and Messenger with, after trading would start to drink to drown out the voices of angry spouses who cried "You don't spend enough time with me!" and often they would laugh at Trading Conventions they never had sex with their wife! Why do women (for women who trade, why do your men)and our families think Trading, is not a legitimate job? I mentioned in a post where my mother was telling me I needed to get a real job like my brother as a Prison Guard. "Mom, I made $984,000 plus $346,000 in all my retirement accounts. So that's about life for many of you on Elite Trader, when Etrade brought 100 traders to Orlando in 2001 for the Super Bowel they had sponsored, there was a hell of a lot of arguing and anger with different men and women. Some of these guys could drink big, I was drunk after a couple of shots of Johnny Walker Blue Label, I had to try it because it was $150 a bottle! I can upload some of the photos, I would like to get in touch with some of the men and women I meet in January 2001, see if they are alive and well!
